DESCRIPTION:Please come listen to our exciting progress!\nAn Update on Our Non-Profit Integrated Living Opportunities (ILO): Where are we today? How do you get Involved? Where are we Going and ILO’s new monthly educational and social events for all ages.\nThursday July 20th\, 2017\n7:00pm-9:00pm\nTreatment and Learning Center\n2092 Gaither Road Suite 100\nRockville MD 20850 \nILO was formed over the last three years by a group of over twenty families in Washington\, DC and Montgomery County\, MD who are creating a network of support for our adult children\, whom we call “self-advocates”. We have designed the organization to help our self-advocates transition into a home of their own\, establish an active role in their community\, and create long-term connections. Our first group of self-advocates moved into apartments in a new complex in Gaithersburg MD November 2016 and the self-advocates are supported by an on-site ILO community builder. But\, this is just the beginning for us. Presently we are establishing supported communities in Bethesda and DC.
